Shadows in GE

How do I get shadows to work in GE? Is that possible?

you can use alpha maps for shadows
i don’t know about animated shadows
but it is possible

Now what I’v seen looking trough the forums at elysiun here is that I found some scripts in the python section. Basicly there’s one that catched my eye cause it bakes textures from meshes.

How does it work?
Well, make a plane, add a cube on it, add some lightning with shadows enabled on that spot or sun or whatever. Now you render and you see nicely a shadow being casted on the plane from the cube.

Now load the script in the script window (same as text window) and select that plane, move your mouse into the text window and press Alt+P
Now you need to set some settings and you run the script and get the render output. Now save the file and uvmap it :slight_smile:
