Shadows problem

I’m quite sure this is something dumb I’m doing, but I’m not sure where to look. I am making a model of a lighthouse, with a spotlight shining out of the middle of it, and a reflector thing. However, the spotlight shines straight through the reflector and the walls, which isn’t really what should happen :slight_smile:

How should things be set up so that shadows are cast correctly?

(I know that the lamp is pointing the wrong way, it’s just how I accidentally set it up and then noticed what was happening)

BTW, I’m still very much new to blender, so any other suggestions about any part of this are welcome.


You had “Halo Step” set at 0, set it to 1 and all will be ok. This is explained in the online docs here:
