I can’t seem to get a shape key animation to extend beyond 100 frames. I read in the manual that this happens if there is no IPO curve associated with shape, but there is. I defined the shape keys and made a linear IPO curve going from one to the other over 200 frames. The deform goes halfway and stop at fram 100. Help pls.
Attach a blend file that demonstrated the problem you’re having.
Okay, the problem is more complex than I originally thought. I’m using the “Deformed mesh to Rvk” script to make a shape key reflecting a deformation via a modifier, as I explained in this thread. I don’t run into this problem with “normal” shape key animations (not involving a script.) I fear that this could just be a limitation of Blender, as modifiers weren’t intended to be animated in the first place. But if anyone knows of a workaround, I’d love to hear it.
A .blend file is attached. Two shape keys were defined, one as basis and the other with a twist deformation applied via the “Deformed mesh to Rvk” script. Before running the script, I went to frame 150. Then I ran the script, clicked Yes when it asked me if I wanted to copy to a new frame, and confirmed 150 as the frame to copy to. Notice that the deformation only makes it 2/3 of the way and stops on frame 100.

I have no idea what I did differently, but suddenly I’m not having this problem. Disregard this thread for now, though I have a feeling Blender’s behavior won’t be consistent and I’ll run into this problem again.
Btw I am aware that the .blend file above didn’t have an IPO curve. I made it quickly and forgot to include that. But the problem I was running into applied to an object that did have an IPO curve for shape.
