Shape Key Sliders Named but Not Seen in 2.46?

Sorry, I’ve tried to find the solution on my own, but in older files I needed to adapt to new work, I opened in 2.46 and found my shape key sliders were present but that the names would not appear until I manually clicked on each channel bar, but that even only opened up a value slider and did not enable me to see the named channel name I had assigned in the shape key tab. I also noticed that the default font color in those new slider min/max tabs for the name is white on light grey instead of black - almost missed that altogether.

Is it possible I am seeing the text present in grey on grey? I wonder…

I tried to recreate the problem but couldn’t. All my shape keys have their names displayed right under their sliders in the action window.
(edit) btw did you click the little triangle button to display the sliders?

Thanks for trying it out, Modron. I tried it at home on my old laptop and got the names on the sliders, but when I try it here at work I have the same problem. I think I’ll see if I can just uninstall here and reinstall with a fresh download and see if that fixes it. I was hoping it had nothing to do with opening old files in the new version since I have a few lipsync projects I wanted to revisit.

Thanks again!

edit: Looks like it is an error specific to the computer I use at work - I uninstalled blender and reinstalled with a fresh download, and the problem persists still. I took the same file home and there were the names on the channel markers - so my comp at work has some inherent video driver problem maybe.

I’ve found that it actually sort-of IS necessary to have Python installed with Blender…or not.

Try installing it if you haven’t…I usual don’t. 'Course, if I was on my Work computer, of Course I’d install it!

Well, it was a shot.
