shapekeys controlled through bone custom properties

Hello

I come to share a videotutorial for blender 2.56 beta that I made. Since it seems nobody has tried to clarify how the custom properties work, I decided to research in the topic discovering this method of shapekeys’ control. Which ends up been pretty similar to the one used for the rig properties of sintel. The bone custom properties appear at the transforms bar at the right of the 3d view and all with no need of the code. Also it’s pretty simple to use. The audio is in english and it comes with subtitles to spanish.

Here the embeded code
<iframe title=“YouTube video player” width=“960” height=“750” src=“http://www.youtube.com/embed/-Zxpd6EPB_I?hd=1” frameborder=“0” allowfullscreen></iframe>

That was called wiring parameters in 3dsmax.

In the video you enter the text: pose.bones[“ctl”][“deform”]
but there is a easier way: select the bone in pose mode and in
the N panel, at the bottom the deform property is shown. Make right click on the slider
of the property and choose Copy data path.
Then you can Ctrl+V to paste the text instead of typing it.
Thanks for the video. There is very few videos of this type.

Thanks bao I didn´t know about that. Thanks for telling about the copy path technique hahaha that simplifies it A LOT! :-);)
