Shark (sort of)

You should make the fins on his back larger. And longer on the x axis. keep it up btw, I like this character.

I like the head the way it is now, definitely looks right, to me. Also, I like the fins but the tail, i don’t know, no real complaint just something seems off, also, I think the dorsal fin (top back fin I believe) should be a bit bigger as suggested.

But remember, in all importance it all comes down to what you want in the character. How you want it to look is what matters especially when it comes to the over all look of things, basically, proportions and ideas are all we can give you. Proportions are almost an automatic “you should change” thing, ideas are your decision. Just thought I’d make sure that you realize it is, afterall, your model, and your idea.

That’s a valid point, although I’m wary of making it too big - I don’t want to make it uncomfortable for him to lie down.

While it is my model, feedback is very important to me. Ignoring critique is a sure way to see ones quality decline (count the number of film directors whose careers were destroyed by their egos). That said, I’ve enlarged the fins a bit. Is the positioning of the leg fins okay?

I decided to go back to this. Tell me, is the positioning of the leg fins okay, or should I move them to the side?

settle down

I actually don’t think the leg fins fit the character; they look out of place, and there purpose isn’t exactly clear. But, if you must have them, that position will do.

Yeah uh, you are rude? I have been tricked twice thinking you had updated, only to find these bumps. Maybe if you typed it more like this BUMP! BUMPITY-BUMP!

About the model, The topology looks rather untidy, especially around the knees and lower abdomen around the back. I think the fins would work better on the side and lower towards the feet. I shudder to think about how this would deform with those things sticking out of his knees.

My biggest crit however, is your forum etiquette. I don’t think you’ll find anyone that appreciates this. Until I checked your profile, I thought you were another teenager.

Do NOT post “bumping” messages. If you want it to rise to the top, add more content. If you can’t be bothered to add more content then you shouldn’t expect others to want to critique it anyway.

What you should do is just keep adding more content. Since you’d presumably be working on this even if there wasn’t a forum, there’s no reason you can’t continue even without critique. It just takes a while sometimes. Adding more content will encourage people to reply; posting BUMP BUMP BUMP just makes people hate you.
