Sheepit Rendering farm client not booting on clean windows 10 install

I have successfully started Sheepit on several machines, however on one machine running Win 10 Pro with dual Xeons when I open the client nothing happens after I see the the extraction bar complete. Sheepit never opens, just on this one machine. Does this program have any dependencies that I do not have installed? As this machine also happens to have the cleanest windows install as I only use it to render and run simulations. Frustrating as this machine has 24 threads running at 3.4Ghz.

No exp with sheepit, but most of render programs need a vcredist package to run, you say you got a clean install so no vcredist packages are installed, i would say find out witch one you need and install it.

I noticed on one of the PCs that is rendering, that the client is using the “OpenJDK Platform binary” so I proceeded to open that file location (located in the appdata folder) and copy that folder to the same location on the server. Opening the java executable there opened the client I now I have it running a render successfully. I am not sure if this is still the correct fix though, but at least its working for now. I tried downloading OpenJDK 11 but im not sure where to install it, that might be what is missing on the server…just don’t know the install procedure yet. I also installed vcredist 2015 on it, which unfortunately wasn’t it, but I know I had that installed on the other machines so I hoped…haha.
