I want to create material for lobbying against fireworks that organizations (and anyone interested) can use. I think a shell shocked soldier is a good illustration of how most dogs react to fireworks. A search for shell shock brings up inspiration, for instance the photo by Don McCullin. (but an exact replica is not a good idea). I am thinking hands covering ears and bombs going off in the background. The image would be accompanied with text like “this is how most dogs experience new years eve”.
This media material (banners in different sizes, possibly also material for print) would be supplied to organizations working with this issue, and might also post them on several places for people to download.
If you’ve never had or known a dog that panics for crackers and fireworks this might seem silly, it would have to me 10 years ago. But if you do then it makes all the sense in the world!
