This is a very short first film that depicts the Rock-Paper-Scissors game without explicitly naming it as such. The main idea was to showcase each step of the game, starting with the scissors cutting the paper, followed by the scissors being crushed by a rock. In the end, the real winner is the paper, which falls peacefully above the rock. I added details that reminiscent of these three elements: a bokeh background blur with a triangular shape and a three-ray highlight effect (on the scissors).
During the production of this film, I explored sound effects and I am proud of the result, even though there are still some improvements to be made. I used DaVinci to get better colors, as you can see in the breakdown, but it changed my life: I had to render for about 15 hours in total, which didn’t allow me to redo the animation. It took me about 20 hours to model, animate, texture, and render a quality image. To bring the scene to life, I made the trees move and added particles for the falling leaves.
