Shiny thing

Ah, thank you. I figured B3D00 was referring to the thickness, I just had never used the Shrink/Fatten tool before. I played with it, but it does some really weird things, maybe I have some rotations, or normals messed up or something. I play with it some more, because that could be very useful.
That’s what I love about the forums - learning something new. I am now one step closer to knowing what I’m doing.

quick update -

I thought I would try to make it more like a photo I would take. Still need to color adjust it to yellow and add more blur, but it’s getting there…
Seriously, all I did was change the wall texture (I like this one better) and give it just a little blur. I don’t know what else to do, any suggestions?

That’s so much better than the original render! Maybe you could add a little more depth to the paper leftovers on the roll.

um, I’m sure you know this but the toilet seems to have left for the break room in the latest render.

how bizarre, I must have moved it to another layer accidentally. I’ll go looking for it. Gives a new meaning to the term potty break…

ok, this one is more like me reference photo…
oh, and you’ll notice I found the toilet.

Allrighty, changed the wall texture to a procedural texture instead of a photo, I think I actually like it better, it could probably use a little more work, but I think it’s pretty decent.
I added a rug around the toilet (I actually use hair particles on it - not that you can tell in the reflection… ) and I added a cabinet. I guess I’m about done with this, unless someone has any more suggestions.

this should really be in the work in progress section…

Should the wall be tiled?

Yeah, i didn’t realize it at the time I started the thread. It started out as a test in reflections and lighting, and then it kind of took on a life of it’s own, and now it’s dead, so, I figured I would just leave it alone

wow, this is really nice. i already learned somethings too. didn’t know about the edgesplit and subsurf combo :j

A little update using some DoF.

the walls bm needs to be more defined. It seems abit blurry even at the closest point.

I think that shiny metal could use some dirtying up
