These are some render’s of some scenes so far. This project is something my fiance’ and I have been working on for a while now in concept and with some ambition, it’s starting to pull to life. I’m gonna change the house around a bit, mainly because it was from a tutorial, but it’ll still look fairly similiar. More scene elements are being added, and several characters, including a cow, chicken, and an alien. I’ll post a storyboard once it’s finished and then an animatic afterwards. There currently is no set title yet, but I’m sure there will be sometime soon.
I thought maybe you should have more clouds visible…your render looks to dark and you cant see any clouds. I whipped this up a few days ago to show you what i mean…It was to show fixes on your other render but I think its a good example anyway…

I don’t know which planet I prefer, the 1st one has a cartoon feel, like the 1st image, the 2nd one is great too, but the clouds look like they have too much specularity.
(And I’m sorry enriq; I don’t really like your version with the impossible crown of clouds :p)
I like a lot the 1st image. It looks cartoony and well textured at the same time. Maybe it lacks but on the “round window”.
And so far, I also like the room modeling and composition.
I like your style of modeling, the concepts are very good. This looks like a promising short film. As for the planet, i also agree that the first one is better, it does fit the theme more.
I also have a few helpful crits:
For the scene with the house and fence, i would use static particles for grass, it would greatly enhance the image IMHO. The sky also needs some improvement, but the rest of the scene looks pretty good.
The scene with the bed could also use improvements. Maybe some pillows, a blanket, and a new wood texture.
I think this is going in a good direction and has the potential for great things. Keep up the good work and keep us posted on that storyboard!
