Shotglass

Well, after learning fluid sim this weekend, this is what it turned into. Doesn’t really have much to do with fluid sim, besides the few drops you can see coming out of the faucet. Truthfully, I don’t know what this is going to be yet. I have some ideas of metaphorical things with faucets but I’m not positive yet. Figured I’d post anyways and get some feedback from you Blenderer’s

The glass is very dark. You should brighten it up a little.

you need to turn the raydepth up, that will get rid of the black in the glass

There’s no sink under the faucet :stuck_out_tongue: .

And who drinks a shot of water? :stuck_out_tongue: (okay, fine, I do… I have a shotglass I use for water and milk when the other glasses are empty. It was originally for a prop in a school project).

Although the scene is very plain, I like it. I think the dull color and simple reflection works very well.

Nice 8)
Needs a sink tho
Don’t ask me why, but it looks pretty gothic to me. BTW I would keep the dark glass

thanks for mentioning how to get rid of the dark glass kane, that’s one of the things I was trying to figure out.

I realized there was no sink, but like I said, I’m still trying to figure out what it’s going to be. Thanks for the crits so far.

Didn’t have much time to work on it today, but I threw in a few changes, including a sink (yes…the shotglass is currently floating over the sink) and some walls. I’m heading in the direction of a window, still not sure of what my purpose is though. Also, I didn’t realize that my light was hidden by the plane I put there for the wall until after the render was done, which is why it’s real dark. That will be fixed in the next render.
