New to Blender, trying to get my head around the rendering process. I see that YAFRAY is now built in to Blender, but I’m trying to figure out if this has made YABLE obsolete, or if I’ll have more control over my renders by using YABLE.
I’m on OS X 10.4.4 using Blender 2.4.1 with Pyton 2.3.
The YABLE script was used when YAFRAY was first around before it was integrated into Blender. You would run the YABLE script and use the GUI that it presented to set up your render.
With the much improved integration of YAFRAY these days there’s no reall call for using YABLE anymore. I know that there are some people that still like to get into the XML that Blender produces for YAFRAY and goof around with some of the more obscure settings, but for the large majority of people this isn’t necessary.
If you search the forums, you should find some good general tutorials on using YAFRAY as it is currently integrated into Blender.
