Learning a lot, combining ideas from many different tutorials I’ve seen. I’m really getting in to geometry nodes and more complex material shading nodes. I used free PBR maps I downloaded for the tile and mesh netting. This scene was too much for my ancient GPU; so, I finally gave up and let it run on my CPU. It took about an hour.
I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
Thanks so much.
Cool! Very detailed!
I needed some time to recognize what was irritating me… the unusual tiles .
I downloaded that texture. They looked interesting.
I changed the colors so the tiles would fit the color scheme though.
That’s one part of the artistic process: choosing something non-boring or make some usual stuff extraordinary .
@JeremyMallin Amazing result! I’ve had some failures with foams in the past. How did you make the foams? That looks really good.
@Sunghoon-Jung I got the technique from this tutorial. The key is getting the individual sizes right for your particular scene.
Congratulations, this work has been nominated for the ‘Best of Blender Artists 2022’ award in the #geometry-nodes category! You can vote for it here.
