Hi, I’m doing an animation oriented to pre-schools kids, I want to show the name of an object and then the meaning in other language, so I need a kind of hide/show transition, my question is:
is there any built-in blender function to show-hide the text in animation? at this time I do a scale of each text objects, but i want to know if there are some better way.
Text is just like any other object you animate. You can make text appear and disappear by keyframing its movement from one visible layer to an invisible layer (press I in the 3d view and select Layer from the list of keyframes)
In blender 2.54 you can alos keyframe an object visibility by keyframing on/off its visibility in the outliner window.
