Showing the latest featured art on my iPhone lockscreen + background

I thought it would be neat to show the latest featured art on the lockscreen and background of my iPhone. Using the Shortcuts app this was relatively easy, although I did need an intermediate script to return the currently featured image.

The result is pretty cool if not perfect - some images don’t really work in the vertical format but :person_shrugging: But it’s still a nice surprise when my phone suddenly shows some cool new Blender art!

Here’s what the automation looked like. The main issue with Shortcuts is that it won’t let you schedule a script for more than one time, so I had to set up 4 different triggers to run this.

(I blurred the URL as it’s not optimized yet and I don’t want to kill my server

For a future version, I might want to add the name of the image and the author somewhere on the side.

Is this something anyone else would like to use? If so I’ll optimize this and document the setup process.
