I created a character with a skull cap (for hair) as a separate object and shrinkwrapped it to the head. Now i’m coming across an issue as I try to animate the charcter. The Shrinkwrap object does not follow the head correctly. Is there a work around for this? I’ve already spent a good amount of time styling the hair so I’m trying to avoid reworking this and would like to possibly use this method again on other characters.
Shrinkwrap won’t make an object follow another object, only hug to its surface. If the target object moves, the shrinkwrapped object will only slide along its surface. If you want an object to follow another object’s movements, you need to use vertex parenting, a bone parent, or a Child Of constraint.

Per Horseman’s insight, I selected the shrinkwrap object, selected the bone (in my case, the circle around the characters head(rigify), Ctrl+P —>Bone.
