SIGGRAPH 2011: Cory Doctorow's Keynote Address (about DRM and such) on youtube

I just saw the SIGGRAPH 2011 Keynote Address by Cory Doctorow’s and his talk is straight to the point about DRM and software patents. Worth watching if you have time.

Thanks for the link. I watched the keynote address at Siggraph, and thought he made some very valuable points.

I watched the whole thing a few days ago, and he really does make himself clear. A great video, worth the 45 minutes.

It’s clear and to the point, I don’t think it will change ‘business as usual’ approach that the industry has.

DRM and all other invasive features will exist and provide more issues for consumers.

I think it will spur on smaller/ indie vendors and creators though, to go with an independent and more consumer focused open-platform.

Cory was nice enough to visit us at the Blender stand later: http://www.flickr.com/photos/renderfarmfi/6027944223/in/photostream
