Siggraph 2014 Demoreel: Call for Content

SIGGRAPH 2014 is almost here! As usual, we will be putting together a demoreel of the best animations to come out of the Blender community. The reel will be shown at our Siggraph booth in August, and later released online for public viewing. If you have work to share, or know a project that deserves the attention, please help us make the reel great!

To get started, take a look at last year’s demoreel:

Accepted formats are: Stills with breakdowns, Finished Animations, Breakdowns, Timelapse, Game Engine captures
All content must be at least 1920x1080 or higher in resolution with minimal compression artifact
All content must involved Blender in some way during its production

Submit your work here:

Note: Youtube videos are rarely good enough. Please provide the original video file if possible.

Submission deadline: July 1st, 2014

I can cook a scene by then, here is a blender game, featuring a walking ragdoll, assembeling rigid body components that are 3d logic nodes

I will have my environment and level designers fire out a pretty scene from our assets.

Would posting a Demo reel with all your work be cool? It would be easier to compile all my shots for something like that.

If you are interested in shots from my smoke and fire demos, hit me a PM:

This is what I can provide:

Webhead, yup! Send me as much as you want. We’ll cut the footage and piece everything together.

GottfriedHofmann, can you send me the file via this form?

Kai, I am interested in your point-cloud one, can you send me the high-res video using the web form above?

Hey Mike, I have another question, is this reel for 100% CGI footage? or are you using any Video effects shots done with blender?

@Webhead: Just look at last years reel, lots of VFX in there. I am pretty sure we want it this year as well.

It doesn’t have to be 100% CGI shots. As long as Blender is used in some way.

Awesome, will get to work on this soon.

Bump! Keep in mind that the work doesn’t have be produced in the last year. As long as the work hasn’t been used before in previous demo reels.

The Point cloud one is very very nice. Nice job!!

So far, I only have 10 gigs of content so far from 40 entries, probably need a lot more for it to look good. Submit your work this week!

I’ll ask the boss what we can and cant show… I’ll let you know this week!

I have this game ready model .There is a turntable video and some progress stills combined into a sequence for this model, I was also working on a walk cycle of the character but didnt finish it.Tell me if you want it and I will upload it.
