Hi guys, here’s a dumb question I should know, but I can’t even find the answer for with google, how do I edit multiple objects at once?
A picture says a thousand words so here’s one…
When I select an object, then deselect it with A, then use box select and select a bunch of others, the original object, even though deselected is still active for editing. What I want to do is change the mesh datablock of all the models on the left, but there are too many of them to do it one by one.
It’s funny that I’ve been using blender for so long while skipping on this basic knowledge :o
Thanks in advance!
You can only edit one object at a time.
You can link a data block from the active object to multiple selected objects. The active object is the last object selected. Link with Ctrl+L. You can copy settings (Ctrl+C) in the same way once you have enable the copy attributes addon from the user preferences

Ah I see, I should start being more careful with datablocks then, thanks for clearing that up, the Make Links works perfectly too
