Simple Cloth simulation puts the blender in not responding situation

Hi everyone,

I’m currently learning blender from cgboost. Following his basic 2.8 blender tutorial I’m trying to run a cloth simulation in the blender. but every time I press the play button to run the animation blender gets into a not responding state.

My system specs:
Intel(R) Core™ i5-3320M CPU @ 2.60GHz
Ram 10 GB DDR3
Graphics: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000

Looking for suggestions to fix this issue, Thanks in advance for any help

How many faces does your cloth mesh have? You’ll probably need to reduce that with 10 GB of RAM

I have subdivided the plane into 50 cuts

Wow, that’s a lot of faces! I’d recommend going into edit mode and pressing F3 > unsubdivide , go with 2 or so iterations
