I’ve seen that Blender can set hair in a very realistic way… but what if you want a simpler kind of hair? lets say, a more cartoon-like hair? for example made of a block of spikes (like a punk) which has a limitated movement? it would be a smart idea to sculpt this hair and set a few bones to move it? Or there is a simpler way?
Yes, softbodies (or even the cloth modifier) would do the trick.
Keep in mind that if you want realistic/cartoony at the same time, we now have the ability to ‘clump’ hair. So you could still do it with particles and get an anime kind of style.
