I was at work and decided to try and model something as closely as possible. Any critiques are much welcomed as I will be shooting for a HUGE project soon.

Okay try this…I just realized that I do not know how to actually make text ON a mesh/object. If you notice the “y” on the pen…it casts a shadow…if anyone can help tell me how to make text one something, that would be great!

You actually cant(lame right?) without:
1 Taking the text
2 Turning(converting)it into a mesh
3 Joining it to the mesh
Which can often make the letters look funky, especially if they are subsurfed.
I just extrude, and maybe use a curve to get the letters to look alright, thats about the best you cna do.
And hey, they usually are a little bumpy on pens anywy, right?
