Hey guys. I want to make many circles all over the room with 2 different colors (half green, half red) but subdivide doesnt work.

And i cant even color the circle. i dont know why :frowning:

Please any help?

What circles ?
What room ?
Subdivide doesn’t work in what way ?
???
You need to show us what you have and what you want (supple example blend files etc).
You may know what you want but we cannot mind read and your post is just vague !

I think I understand…: you added a circle, and now you want to make one half of it one material, and the other half of it another, but you can’t make material groups because you are unable to select the faces of one side of the circle? I think the problem is that when you added your circle you used fill type " n-gon ". change that to " triangle fan ".

ups sorry i forgot to link the image.

Not much use to be honest.

Describe in clear and concise language what EXACTLY you want to achieve

Not everybody knows English as well as English speaking people, and I’ll take an honest attempt over google translate any day :stuck_out_tongue:

Daoh, use a modifier called array. Make two circles, one for each color, then place them in like you want them and use an array modifier on each. That will give you a row of each circle. Tweak the array modifier to get them stretched as far as you need them.

Now add another array modifier to the circles. That way you’ll get them to fill out the floor.

If you need it for both floors and walls, just repeat with new circles with arrays on the walls as well

Ok. I wanted to make a 3d “room” with circles on the ground. These circles must have 2 colors. I am new in blender i was trying to find videos on youtube to explain how to do it.

I cannot color the circle on the ground. It was no color even after i try to make it red ( watch first picture ).

Then i want to subdivide in half to make green/red scheme.

Something like this:

thanks for helping it’s hard for me to explain

Doah,

if you are still trying to work on this then I have a couple questions,

Is the color showing up when you render and not just in the view port? for the color to show in the view port you need to assign a viewport color to it, the option is located in the materials tab.

If it’s not showing up in the render then make sure your circles are not below the floor level. You can test by moving them up some to be sure, or hiding the floor.

Also while your at it, make sure you have the circles visible ( the eye icon in the outliner tab ) and make sure they are set to render ( the camera in the outliner tab )

Should be pretty basic to add color, so I’m guessing it is something simple you are overlooking.
