Simple question

I have a cube with two planes parented to it. I want the cube to rotate when an object hits one of these planes, but not the cube.

I assume this is an easy thing to do, and I would prefer not to use a scrpit and just use the logic blocks

That works for rotating just the planes, but not the cube. Since the planes are parented to the cube, when the cube turns it will turn the planes.

Is it possible to have one object react when another is hit?

Can I link them together or something like that?

yeh what you have to do is select the plane and cube then add a motion actor to the cube
