Simple Selection

Hello,

I’m absolutely brand new to 3D modeling software, and I’m stumped by an issue that I’m sure is terribly simple. Watching a tutorial, I’m trying to figure out how to select the bottom half of an icosphere and delete it, leaving only the top half. The tutorial instructor did it not by selecting each vertex one at a time, but everything on the bottom in a single step.

I’ve searched the manual, the forums, YouTube, and Google, but I can’t find out how the tutorial instructor did it.

Sorry if this is a simple thing, but any help is appreciated.

Go to wireframe view (Z) or turn off ‘Limit Selection to Visible’ icon on 3d view header (use tooltip to see name of each icon). Then use B to box select vertices and X / delete
