Hi.
I guess I am a REALLY lost newbie even though I hate admitting it because about 5 or 6 years ago I used to actually create pretty intricate things like chandeliers and such for The Sims games. 
Now, I am completely and utterly LOST.
I had a SIMPLE curtain mesh I cloned and I wanted to ‘mirror’, which I finally did. Once I brought it back into game, it seemed not to have been mirrored but rather just rotated because the back of it had no faces toward the bottom (it looked like the back). I scratched/deleted it.
I thought: Oh heck noooo. (Hand motion, finger snap ;)), I am going to get this, so I went to ANOTHER curtain mesh and mirrored that too, but when I brought it into game, the top of the curtain was sticking up through the rod. I thought, no problem! I’ll just delete the rod. Back in Blender though … for the life of me I CANNOT delete just the rod! I have finally been able to figure out how to separate the fabric part from the rod, but it seems as if the rod is attached to some beads and when I separate it, I get like 500 pieces and still have problems finding just the rod. Edit: One time I got lucky and finally found the rod toward the bottom of the list, deleted it, and then couldn’t figure out how to RE-Merge my beads, so I saved the million beads and the curtain fabric, brought it back to the game and there were no beads to be seen, only a plain fabric curtain.
All that took me about three hours. Okay, so maybe it was four. Anyway, in the middle of the night, I guess I must have dreamt about my blender failings and woke up. It could have been our dog’s breath in my face, but I’m used to that, so I’m sure it was the Blender thing. I began again and picked a project I imagined would be easier than both the curtains combined. Or is that easier than half of one of those curtains? In any case, I picked a fat blanket I wanted to make thinner and MAYBE lift a corner of.
It is not going well and I am about to hang up my meshing shoes FOREVER.
Can anyone help? I have watched about 8 or more Youtube videos and there was one super newbie series which had promise, but I don’t know if I skipped an episode or something but the guy sounds different and is working on other stuff.
HELP.
