i work in the Tunisian Space Agency ,and we have as project a scientific rocket to lunch in august
i want to simulate the parachute of the rocket ,i tried with cloth simulation & i failed
any help please
Moved from “Blender Artists Website Support” to “Particles and Physics Simulations”
I played around with this for a while, also with the cloth simulator. For the mesh I started with a triangle filled circle, extruded and scaled the outer rim to build the mesh. Then I found I got the best results by pinning the outer rim of the parachute and rather than a wind force field filling it, I let gravity fill it. So basically it was upside down. I added a little turbulence to it to give it that “filled with wind” look.
Not sure that will help you or not your quest or not, but it might be a direction to pursue.
