Simulating bunch of objects thrown on the ground - how?

I need to drop a bunch of objects on the ground (brass) and make it look natural. I recall seeing some tutorials about simulations like that a while back, but I never bookmarked it :frowning:

I need it for still rendering, so I don’t really (at least not now) need to make whole animation with brass coming off a minigun, flying through the air and landing on the ground. I just need to drop bunch of objects, let them settle and render that last frame.

Can someone point me to a good tutorial about the subject ? Thanks.
