Simulating FLIP fluids in Amazon AWS EC2 virtual machine

Has anyone tried simulating FLIP fluid simulations on Amazon Elastic Compute virtual machine? I’m starting a new project where I need fluid sims and as I’m already utilizing EC2 instances for rendering I was thinking about running sims there also, but I’m not too sure about how to approach it.

I imagine the easiest way would be the one described in Brenda script docs: running a Windows VM, install blender there with flip addon, run simulations and copy cache to EBS volume that can then be snapshot and attached to render vm-s to use…

Any better ideas or use cases?

Did you figure out a solution to this? I’m also interested in doing this.
