Simulation not caching or showing up in viewport

(The following was attempted in the most recent version of Blender 2.91)

So I have this simple scene I want to do- some liquid going through a pipe. I have the simulation set up- pipe’s an effector set to planar, there’s a domain and the sphere I’m using is set to “liquid”; I’ve baked it to a cache, and it doesn’t show up in the viewport for some reason. Before you ask, I have set it to “replay” so I can see it for myself, but even then that doesn’t work. Included is the blend file, because I don’t know where to go from here with this or what I’m doing wrong.Fluids.blend (1.7 MB)

As a followup, I wanted to see if this wasn’t a fluke by creating another file with similar settings, only this time it’s an inflow sim involving a pool. Turns out it is not a fluke, and I still don’t know what’s going on to not cause the simulation to play in the viewport.

I still don’t know if this is something wrong on my end, as in I’m doing something wrong or skipping a step, or if it’s a bug on Blender’s part, but it’s getting annoying and I need to know how to fix it, or if there even is a fix to begin with.
