This is just for one tiny corner in my webcomic, so I’m not going for super-duper realism here. I draw the characters anyway, so I’m not trying to ‘fool’ anyone into thinking it’s ‘real’.
Still, I’m always glad to have a little constructive criticism. I won’t change the render as it’s already posted on my web page, but I will use your comments for any future renders that I do for the comic.
One of the things I learned is that I can shave hours off the render time if I delete everything that’s not in view of the camera. My model includes the entire floor of the building and I banished all the off-camera items to another layer. One other time-bloater was the wall. I deleted all of the wall segments except that directly behind the camera and that made a HUGE difference in the render time.
I’ve included the blend file. I’m pretty sure all of the parts were original to me - maybe a spoon or something was downloaded from somewhere.
