Yeah I just see a lot of games fall through, not that I don’t hope they finish it, it just seems like games this big never get finished, but finished or not it looks pretty cool.

@Inferno: Yes, you play as Sintel from the movie, who finds her way into the small city of Garway, which is not in the movie. Also, I prefer not to update frequently, it takes time to position the camera for the perfect screen shot
@venomgfx: Thanks! Your work has been incredibly inspirational, both in Yo Frankie! and in Sintel. The BGE has come quite far since the last game I made. There are so many new features (mostly logic bricks) that make things a lot easier. Its a lot of work, but it’s quite fun.
@LetterRip: I’ve talked to both Colin and Ton and they didn’t seem to have any issues with us using the Sintel title. We’ve decided not to use the same logo because that might cause some problems.
@SSimpossible: Like I said up there ^, we intentionally didn’t use the movie logo because we figured it would be easier just to avoid any copyright ordeals. The GLSL / NoGLSL system is pretty simple. It checks a config file to determine which exe to start (GLSL one or NoGLSL one. The NoGLSL exe is a copy of the GLSL one, only the Texture Face Material mode is selected when exported to a runtime. I hope that answers your question.

Since the last post (with screenshots) We have been focusing on the city, mainly the layout and overall ambient color. Getting the city look the way we want is a tough job and I know there are still loads of improvements to be made.
Its getting nice, the graphic quality is getting cool, i think that you guys will probably make the lightmaps on the buildings and on the objects on the future, but, for now the image quality is good.
I think the main character is prety low quality but probably its just something to test it out right?
Its a nice quality project better than the big majority of the other projects from this site.
I hope to see it finished and I hope that the people dont get upset for the time that you guys take to post something new, but as i know to make a good quality stuff you need to test and create new things its impossible to make daily updates as some guys make here…

me likes.!!! as a crit- i would try to avoid that kind of tileable pattern for the ground- as it creates the MOIRE EFFECT (google it if you don’t know what it means). also it looks strange with mipmaps. i would go with normal dirt maps, sand etc, and locally, ahve some bricks. good luck guys!!!

and reading the first page of this thread i saw some reference to yofrankies web site and i visited his site a few days ago dude …its a great reference for tuts …anyways i just want to that by looking the pictures it just makes me want to play this game and develop something similar to that someday ^^
