Sintel has not been released yet but it is already used in its trailer form to benchmark VP8 video codecs performances:

The guys from FFMpeg have written their own decoder for Google’s VP8 format and they are using Sintel trailer to show how good they are with the 1080p version.
Like Big Buck Bunny before, we’re starting to spot Sintel apparitions on the web in various places.
Future already looks good for the little Sintel. :eyebrowlift:
