Sketching?

Hey,

I recently started using Blender, and I ran into some trouble: I’m pretty much used to the “sketch” option of 123d Design, so you can “sketch” something on an mesh and then it becomes part of it. See the pictures below:

the extruding to the inside to make a circular shape thingy.

This is all in 123d Design, but I don’t know if you can do the same in blender?
