I keep getting a weird problem with UV unwrapping, so I must be doing something wrong. Here’s the model I want to unwrap this time — I’ll set smooth on it and use it as part of a sidewalk:
I’d like each rectangular face to appear as just that in the image editor: rectangular (and being connected would be a nice bonus). I select all the faces, press u, and select the first option, “Unwrap.” But here’s what I get:
As you can see, the faces are skewed and don’t line up. Why aren’t they just rectangular?
I’m having a similar problem. I have a simple apple that I’ve drawn seams on. I don’t want to use Cylindrical or Spherical unwrapping. This has six sides, all the same, but it comes out uneven. I’ve tried Conformal and Angular, both with no luck… any ideas?
