Working on a shader node stack without using sss to simulate skin that doesn’t look plastic or waxy. The biggest problem I have working on this is that the cycles render in preview mode, doesn’t match the cycles full rendered version. My work flow is to tweak nodes with cycles preview in another 3d view, then render, but it’s a guess as to how the node tweaking will turn out. Any crits welcome. tx
That looks like a pretty good start, hard to say exactly what it will look like on a human model. What you have there looks great for something like a fingertip.
Have you tried applying that node setup to something with curves or wrinkles to get an idea what it would look like on say an elbow or an ear?
