Hi All,
I am finally getting around to armature’s and skinning, and I wonder what is the process.
I want to take one of those dancing BVH files from here:
http://www.centralsource.com/blender/bvh/files.htm
And link in a character mesh of my own.
So what is the workflow? In max, I simply apply physique to my mesh and link in the bones. But in blender, I could find no such counterpart.
So what links an armature to a mesh?
Thanks
Cire

You can use the Armature modifier, or parent (Ctrl+P) the mesh to the armature.

I suggest get a svn build from graphicall.org. See http://www.blender.org/development/current-projects/changes-since-244/skinning/
also check the wiki for how to’s otherwise. wiki.blender.org and the manual.
There is a armature modifer that you can enable as well in the modifers panel.
