Skybox- like Valve!

Is there any way I could do the skybox technique that valve uses in almost all their games?
Where they make a tiny skybox(with building and stuffs) and have it in the same scene and have some thing going on where the actuall skybox is tiny and unsee-able, but the player sees the skybox huge and upclose?

Yeah, you can do this with a background scene. Set a scene up with your sky box with the size the way you want it, put the camera inside of the sky box, then add the sky box scene up as a background scene. It will appear where blank space is in the game scene. On top of this, you can use a short Python script to sync movement between the game camera and the sky box camera so that they match.
