skymap baking and gamma correction

Hi guys.

I’m busy working on a project which requires a skymap in the iD tech 4 engine. I used the Cycles sky texture to bake the textures for the skybox. The problem is that the sky generated gives a gamma lines effect and i’m unsure of what settings to use in the bake to give a smoother result. The gradient effect is very noticable in the image.


The color management settings used is set to sRGB, exposure 0, gamma 2.2, no nodes for image adjustment has been used. Any advice is much appreciated.

Turns out it was just my cheap monitor all along that gave weird gamma issues. Upgraded to a quality monitor.
