Slackware Problems

I haven’t posted around here in a while, but I figure I would ask around here about a Linux problem I’ve been having (I use Slackware). I had been updating my system from online packages and then started getting errors about libc.so.6 not having GLIBC_2.4. I went to upgrade this as well, and then restarted my computer. I got a slough of errors and it wouldn’t start up. I ran pkgtool from a CD, but it had an older kernel so ldconfig didn’t run. I booted with a bootdisk with a newer kernel and ran ldconfig, but now I get this message:

bash: relocation error: /lib/libc.so.6: symbol _dl_out_of_memory, version GLIBC_PRIVATE not defined in file ld-linux.so.2 with link time reference

. Any ideas? My system is unbootable now.:frowning:

Well, call me an idiot but I seem to have fixed the problem well enough to be booting. Please disregard!
