I already posted this image in the Blender Guru slum contest, so I guess I might as well post it here, as well. It took about three weeks to create, and even then still it doesn’t look perfect and I needed to head into Photoshop for fix it up. Modeled and rendered in Blender.
It looks good so far! If you’re looking for suggestions on how to improve the image, next time, post in the Focused Critique section
But I would first recommend you check the scale of the objects. If that tree is accurately sized, no one would be able to reach the clothesline, as the clothes would be at least 40 to 50 feet above the ground. There are several other size problems throughout the image that need to be fixed.
Start with that, and it will significantly improve your render
Well, you got a lot farther than I did! Of course, like you said, it isn’t perfect, but I haven’t ever seen any artwork that was. I’d say that you did a good job. Although, it’s kind of dark… but that’s what a sunset is, right!
Yes, well, I know it isn’t perfect I probably could’ve spent a little longer on it and got it a little better, but anyway …
And yes, it is kind of dark. When I look at the picture with my fingerprint-covered screen in the light, I can’t even really see anything
Actually, I thought the darkness was kind of cool at the beginning, but I kind of regret making it that dark, now. It definitely got darker when I post-processed it in Photoshop.
Also I should probably take out those “trees,” they ruin the size scaling.
