I’m not upgrading my system everytime somebody has higher version number.
I’m upgrading if there is really something worth of upgrading.

I know it help me out. Nvidia previously only had an RPM for Mandrake 8.2 & up not 9.0 specifically. I was able to compile the drivers myself and they worked somewhat with a few problems. This fixes those issues and takes out the hassles involved. I did read forums where some people got the recompiled drivers to work correctly on 9.0 but I also saw may where people couldn’t get it to work at all with their video cards.

I compiled them and I can see some speed improvements when I’m playing games like UT2003.
