A small, half-realistic/half-stylized animation of a friend’s razorback musk turtle ((Sternotherus carinatus).
Made with Blender 2.91. Environment (rock and sand) is procedural, and procedurally shaded. Plants are low-poly modeled. Turtle shell is modeled, head, legs and tail are sculpted. The whole turtle is then hand texture-painted (no photography textures are used). Animation rendered in Eevee, still shots shown below with Cycles.
