Smart UV Mapping Problems.

Hey guys, I’m new to blender, very new. I have ran into a small snag in the texturing of my model, i have tried to use a Smart UV mapping to make it easy and fast however something is wrong when i select all my vertices and UV Smart Mapping I am left with a very jumbled, unorganized map which makes the image texture look horrible in the render.

That’s what smart unwrap does, but it’s not Einstein. It splits your mesh based on the unwrap settings. Have you tried changing them, specifically the angle limit

For controlled unwrapping you will need to apply specific edge seams (Ctrl+E, Mark Seam) and use the Unwrap option
