Smoke: Domain Shape?

Recently I’ve been working on a deformed head model. My plan was to fill the head with smoke using the Blender 2.5 smoke simulator. I set the head object as the domain and put a cube inside of it, which I set to flow. Unfortunately the smoke fills the head like it’s a cube.

Is there a way I can fix this? Thanks.

nope, the domain is always seen as a cube. your head is considered a cube at its maximum boundaries. you will need obstacle objects to keep it in a specific form.

Yeah, create a cube that’s bigger than the head for the domain and make the head a collision object. Be sure to pump of the low res divisions…
