So i kinda ran to a bit of a problem with blender’s smoke simulation. I’ve set up the domain, flow, collision, etc and i’m pretty sure i got the setting worked out right, but the smoke won’t show up in view port ,even after baking it. I’ve already created some smoke simulations before and it worked out fine,so i think i’m missing something here. Here’s the file:https://www.dropbox.com/s/7atppqgvqyl4q5b/building.blend?dl=0
can anyone help me?
Huh - quite bad memories came to my mind, as i opened the file…
Your smoke material is totally unfunctional. It even doesn’t have any support for fire…
You may try this material: Cycles_smoke_mat.blend (628 KB).
- To use it in your file, klick on File/append, browse to my file, open it, go to “Node tree” and append the “Smoke shader”. In your domain’s material press Shift-A, go to Group and select the SmokeShader. Connect its output to the Volume input. Change the values of the SmokeShader till it fits for you. (if you want to take a look in the Group, select it and press tab).
