I am currently trying to render out a smoke simulation to simulate smoke emitted from a gunshot. I have made progress at first I had trouble getting it to look right and could not get it past looking like a mushroom cloud. I have a pretty good test render that I will upload when I get home right now I am in class and the internet is really slow.
Right now I am facing two problems. 1 the smoke seems to have a lot of noise in it when i put it to high resolution. and 2 how do I edit the amount of smoke emited from the particles? As of now the smoke emiting is way too much and would like the puffs to be smaller.
Any help is appreciated and I will upload the video soon to help give a visual.
Thank you, lowering the step size helped a lot. I lowered the density scale in the material and it seemed to have reduced the amount of smoke.
But I seemed to have lost my good particle system. I had it setup just the way I wanted with the right speed and shape and I think I may have saved over it… So now I got to redo that and try out changing these settings to see if I get what I want
