I see this kind of texture used a lot in many images. It is like people are using a shiny and smooth grainy glass. Please see the middle portion of this image. The yellow cloth suddenly looks amazing under this texture beam. I would love to learn how to make that smooth and grainy texture. Thanks.
I have v 2.82a

The first one might be some work with SSS.

I do not see an option for " Roughness " when I used noise Texture on a smooth Torus. Image attached

You’re in 2.82? I don’t know about 2.82 but my version is 2.90.1

Really sorry. I should have mentioned. Hope someone using 2.8 will be able to shed some light. Thanks for helping.

I think I managed to get a working combination. We need to choose a dull colour as well for the object for the proper effect

Is there any method to save this shading and apply to other objects like a material ?

Sadly, there is no option to input " Roughness " in Noise Texture in 2.82a which I am using. But thanks to both of you, I got this now.

I don’t think that it will be the important thing here, it’s rather the SSS tweaking that’s important to set correctly
