Smooth Stroke

What can people tell me more about using Smooth Stroke and its parameters like Radius, Factor and Input Samples? I know it’s a smoother choice in the brushstroke. What brush can I notice this use when passing through the mesh? In the blender manual is not very specific. Thank you all!

Hi, this feature is similar to zbrush’s lazy mouse, or photoshop’s stroke smoothing. When this feature is on, your strokes don’t start under your mouse. They start at the position indicated by the pink line. This gives you more control when you sculpt with devices like mice.

I don’t use this feature, so I’m not sure about the settings for it. It is best to try it and experiment with them. From what I can see both radius and factor affect how long the line can become before it starts sculpting. I’m not sure what input samples does. The description makes it sound like it’s another type of smoothing that works along with the line based approach.

Hello, I had seen in my opinion that this control option in the brush when passing in corners that need to be done with better detail even when using with a tablet like I have. In these other functions follow the smoothing pattern. Thank you!
